Depression
Depression meant more than being sad
It is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger, frustration, lack of interest or pleasure interfere negatively with daily activities for a longer period of time.
What causes depression?
Sometimes depression is preceded by a major psychotraumatic event: a significant loss, such as the death of a loved one, separation / divorce, dismissal, retirement. Sometimes it follows a prolonged state of stress, a major life change such as the birth of a child, menopause, etc.

Factors that increase the risk of depression:
- those who have had previous depressive episodes have an increased risk for a new episode
- people who had a depressive disorder in the family (parents, siblings)
- In the first year after birth, women are more prone to depression
- certain physical illnesses
- absence of social support- loneliness, lack of family members, lack of support
- going through a period with negative life events (a death, divorce, etc.)
- consumption of alcohol or drugs
- certain drugs: corticosteroids (prednisone, etc.), interferon, hormonal preparations (some oral contraceptives, anabolic steroids).
We know that bad moods are seen in the brain as an imbalance of fast average alpha brain waves. Usually, we find too few alpha waves on the left side of the brain.
With the help of our protocols the brain waves will balance and you will notice that bad moods are less common. As the mood rises, you can see the positive side and enjoy life again.
